Susan R. Vallade

Susan R. Vallade, 67, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on November 4, 1956 in Toledo to Ronald and Frances (Burke) Pross. Sue was a 1975 graduate of Maumee High School.

Most of her work career was with The Anderson's for over 27 years, retiring with the railcar division. Sue enjoyed golf, arts and crafts, casino trips, shopping and trips to Trader Joe’s. She also loved watching her grandchildren play sports.

Sue is survived by her husband of 47 years, Douglas; children, Aubree (Nic) Vallade, Lindsay (Nate) Davis, and Brady (Cortney) Vallade; eleven grandchildren; and sister, Sheryl Pross. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sandra Pross; and brother, Scott Pross.

Visitation will be Monday, October 14 from 3-8 pm and Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 10 am-12 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, with the funeral services starting at 12 noon. There will be no cemetery service.

The family extends a special thanks to Toledo Clinic Cancer Center in Maumee and the Cleveland Clinic’s many cancer locations.

Sue was artistic by nature and appreciated bright colors. On her behalf, please wear something cheerful, preferably her favorite hot pink, when you visit.
