Susan Anne Sommers

Susan Anne Sommers age 62 of Toledo passed away at home Thursday, December 29, 2011 with her husband and son at her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She held her head high with dignity and never complained during some long and difficult days. She was born on April 22, 1949 to Gil and Mary Urbanyi. Susan worked in the brokerage business and most recently at UBS Financial Services. In 1985 Susan was honored by Toledo Women in Industry for her work in the financial sector. Susan loved spending her time watching her son Matt play hockey and was his biggest fan. Susan loved her flowers and enjoyed visiting the greenhouses around Toledo. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Jeanette Wolf. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Robert; son Matt; several nieces and nephews; and other cherished relatives and friends. Friends may visit at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave, west of Corey on Monday from 4-8 PM where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Northwest Ohio 30000 River Rd. Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
