Susan K. Rufenacht

Susan K. Rufenacht age 67, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022, in her home, surrounded by those who loved her. She was born in North Carolina on February 10, 1955, to Floyd and Barbara (Eldredge) Rufenacht Jr. Susan was employed as a nurse for many years.

Playing the piano and organ for a variety of churches and for the Maumee Senior Center chorus group was a passion of hers. She also loved animals and rescued several dogs throughout her life.

Although Susan didn’t have children of her own, she was able to love and serve children in her community through foster care and hosting foreign exchange students. She had a big, loving heart that spilled over into a multitude of areas over the course of her life.

Family and friends will be received at the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
