Susan Nyitray‑Pellioni, age 77, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026. Born on January 12, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio, Susan lived a life defined by compassion, creativity, and unwavering love and dedication to the people around her.

Susan was a devoted mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Paul Pellioni, whose memory remained a guiding light in her life. She is survived by her loving daughters, Ashley (Todd) Key and Bethany Nyitray, and her stepson, Matthew Pellioni. She also leaves behind her siblings, John (Anita) Dunipace, Jane (John) Cheetwood, Caroline Dunipace, Emily Dunipace, and brother‑in‑law Don Pellioni.

Susan was a proud grandmother to Elizabeth Key and Alex Key, and a caring aunt to Caitlin (Dave) Dunipace and Annie (Peerless) Caesar. She was preceded in death by her parents, H. Richard and Elizabeth Dunipace, her sister Ann Dunipace, and her nephew Thomas Dunipace. Her family, each in their own way, was strengthened and uplifted by her kindness, insight, and steady love.

Susan earned degrees in Art Education, Religion, Philosophy, and Social Work from Bowling Green State University and Kent State University, later completing a Master’s Degree in Counseling. Her professional life reflected her generous spirit; she held many roles focused on helping others, and most recently served as a therapist and counselor, where her empathy and insight made a lasting impact on children and families.

Gardening was Susan’s sanctuary, her happy place, where she found joy and peace among the flowers and earth. She loved to cook, entertain, and bring people together, creating warm, welcoming spaces filled with laughter, good food, and genuine connection. To know Susan was to feel included, supported, and deeply cared for.

She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and all whose lives she touched with her compassion and grace.
