Susan Leck

Dec 8, 1938 — Oct 11, 2026

Susan Leck, age 87, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2026, at Charter Senior Living in Sylvania, Ohio. Born at home in Milbury, Ohio to Howard and Rena Goodman, Sue spent her early years on the Goodman Family Farm. She then began a successful life-long banking career starting as one of the first female tellers at Ohio Citizens Bank. Her roles grew as the bank did, becoming National City, where she eventually retired after serving in numerous management roles and branch openings throughout her career.

Sue's love of travel took her from the little town of Milbury to every corner of the earth. Sue loved hearing about the places her best friend of more than 35 years, Dan Puccetti, had been. He said "Come with me!" and she did... and they explored the world together. They logged more miles cruising the Caribbean and Europe than one can count! They visited countless European countries, Australia, Hong Kong, Fiji and even spent 5 weeks in China.

But in all the world, the place that held a special place in Sue's heart was Ft. Myers Beach. Her winters there with Dan were filled with sunny beach time, dinners out, and enjoying live music with friends. Her smile and laugh lit up whatever venue she graced and she made friends wherever she went. Her other favorite traditions were family Thanksgiving dinners and visiting New York City each December for the spectacular tree lighting. Her fondness for NYC became more personal as Sue and Dan visited the city 2 months after 911 and continued to visit on the anniversary for many years following, remembering and praying with those affected. She also planned many memory-filled trips to Disney with her great niece Robin and nephew Mikey whom she loved dearly.

Sue is survived by her nephew Tom (Denice) Huth, great-niece Robin (Adrian) Carnahan and son Harrison, great-nephew Mike (Shanna) Huth and son Myles. She is also survived by her travel companion and best friend Dan Puccetti; as well as many, many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Rena Goodman and her sisters, baby Barbara Jean and Onalee Huth. Special thanks for the wonderful care Sue received from the nurses and caregivers at Charter's Memory Care. They were Sue's extended family for the last two years and never left her side.
