Susan Ruth Dorn

Susan Dorn, 91, of Perrysburg, Ohio died Monday, July 7, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Bucks County, PA. on August 24, 1922 to Leidy and Mary (Harr) Ruth. Susan was a people person, she enjoyed being of service to others including working at the Toledo Volunteer Bureau, Woodlane School and Industries as well as many church volunteer activities. Susan married Roger Dorn on August 11, 1943. She and Roger opened and ran Perrysburg Office Supply. They later retired to Hilton Head Island, S.C. where they were involved in their church, Bargain Box and Volunteers in Medicine. Susan loved music, gardening and enjoyed the flowers in her yard. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Perrysburg and a member of P.E.O. Chapter T. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dorn; and son, David Dorn. She is survived by her children, Robert Dorn, Carol (Doug) Dean and Nancy (Robb) Gates; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Perrysburg, 200 East 2nd St. on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 3:00 PM. Memorial contributions in Susan’s name may be made to the church.
