Susan Ellen Doell

Susan Doell, 83, passed away on March 30, 2026, in Sandusky, Ohio.

Susan is survived by her daughters, Marybeth Doell and Kathleen Doell; stepchildren, Judy Doell and Keith Doell; grandchildren, Cory Minich (Greg), Michelle Doell, Jayme Doell, Kimberly Griffin, Johnathon Griffin, and Matthew Kotnik; and great-grandchildren, Anthony Rodriguez, Isaiah Doell, Amelia Doell-Moran, and Ka'Miyah Yalledy.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Donald Doell; her parents, Albert Boyd and Marie Boyd; her siblings, Donald Boyd (Tillie), Jacqueline Peklay (Stan), Arnold Boyd (Peggy), and Patricia Kost (John); as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Susan was a graduate of Euclid High School, Class of 1960. She worked in the medical field for over 30 years at various locations throughout Northeast Ohio. In the fall of 1991, she moved to Marblehead.

She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she served in many roles, including liturgist, and sang in the choir. She was also a dedicated member of the Playmakers Civic Theatre, serving as Board President on three separate occasions. She was also a member of the Port Clinton Chapter 267 of the Order of the Eastern Star, holding different office positions.

Susan enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.

A service for Susan will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Port Clinton, Ohio, with an hour of visitation prior. At 12:40 p.m. prior to the service, the Order of the Eastern Star will perform a prayer ceremony for Susan.

Memorial donations may be made in Susan's name to Trinity United Methodist Church or Playmakers Civic Theatre.
