Susan Allan Block, beloved wife and friend passed away in peace at her home with love and devotion surrounding her. She was born in Concord, Ma. and was raised in East Longmeadow, Ma from birth by her adoptive parents David and Anna Pond.
She graduated from Wagner college in New York and spent many wonderful years in NYC. It was there that she made a lot of friends and memories. She honed numerous skills through her career path. She was a pharmaceutical sales representative, a high profile personal assistant, and a sales representative for a fashion house. She began working on her own fashion line until 9/11 halted her career. She later moved to Paris to pursue a lifelong passion with the culinary world at Ecole Gregroire Ferandie. She met the love of her life in NYC and later married on March 5, 2011, and moved to Toledo, Ohio.
She was a celebrated pastry chef, local cultural proponent, lifelong animal lover, passionate supporter of conservative causes, and a fervent advocate for cancer patients. She loved to travel the world, and embrace many cultures.
Susan was predeceased by her father David. She leaves behind her beloved husband Allan Block, her long time friend Diana (John) King, and people around the world that called her friend. She also leaves behind her "Fur Babies". Her dogs Cash, Lily, Finn, and her three cats, Tux, Dena and Wren.
The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers that supported Susan and Allan through all the surgeries and her final weeks.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., and a memorial service on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11 am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 310 Elizabeth St.
In lieu of flowers, Susan would like donations made to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida or your choice of charity.
