Sue L. Vanderhoff

Sue L. Borgess Vanderhoff went to be with the Lord peacefully on April 10, 2010. Born on March 19, 1945, she was preceded in death by her parents, Charles F. and Elinor M. Borgess, and her brother, James. She leaves behind her loving husband of 43 years, Jerry M., a daughter, Julie James Price of Pemberville, a son, Steven of Indianapolis, and three grandchildren Delaney, Calvin and Jasper. After graduating from McAuley High School in 1963, she became an L.P.N. and married Jerry in 1966. After many years of nursing, she and Jerry pursued a karaoke business which they enjoyed for several years. She loved gardening, traveling, singing karaoke and spending time with her grandchildren. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee. A memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donation be made to Promedica Hospice. When I come to the end of my journey; and I travel my last weary mile; Just forget, if you can, that I ever frowned; and remember only my smile. Forget unkind words I have spoken; Remember some good I have done. Forget that I ever had heartache; and remember Ive had lots of fun. Forget that Ive stumbled and blundered; and sometimes fell by the way. Remember I have fought some hard battles; and won at the close of the day. Then forget to grieve for my going, I wouldnt have you sad for a day. But in Summer just gather some flowers, and remember the place where I lay.
