Sue Kromenacker-Karp (Mary Lou), 82 of Ottawa Hills, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 in her home. She was born on April 1, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio to Martin and Beata (Bruhl) CaJacob. Sue was married to Robert Karp in 1990. Sue was a recognized artist her entire life. She attended Central Catholic High School and studied art under Line Bloom Draper and Israel Abramofsky. In the late sixties and early seventies, Sue was employed at the Toledo Museum of Art, WSPD-TV, WDHO-TV and the University of Toledo. She spent several years in Arivaca, AZ studying Native American mythologies and mysticism, which influenced her work greatly. Her work has been shown throughout NW Ohio and SE Michigan. Throughout her career, Sue’s art appeared in numerous art shows, galleries, art fairs, libraries and coffeehouses. Always a visionary, Sue promoted her work and philosophy online at the advent of the new millennium. Please visit her website at www.simplisue.com. She is survived by her sister Rita, brother James, husband Robert, her children Nick Kromenacker, Jeff (Mindy) Kromenacker, Amy (Michael) James, and Marty Kromenacker, her grandchildren Melody, Nicole, Jacob, Courtney, Jeffrey, Abbie, Rachel, and Tiffany, many loving nieces and nephews and thirteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Betty.
