Sue Ellen Evans, age 71, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021. The daughter of Franklin and Evelyn Emerson, she was born November 12, 1949 in Gibsonburg, OH. She was a graduate of Gibsonburg High School and received her RN from the Mercy School of Nursing. Sue worked as a recovery room nurse for Mercy Hospital, Flower Hospital and retired from the Toledo Clinic. She was an avid gardener and loved to bake. Her pancakes and chocolate chip cookies were the best. Sue was an incredibly strong and independent women. She raised her children as single mother and you could not ask for a better mom and grandmother. She cherished her time with her grandchildren and enjoyed spoiling them. She will be remembered as fierce and loyal friend. Surviving are her children, Suzette Golini, and Janet (Sean) Johnson; grandchildren, Antonio and Nicolas Golini, Caroline and Leo Johnson; sisters, Lynne Nagy and Mary Lou Mann. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 3-6 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave (west of Corey Rd) where a service will be held at 6 p.m. Masks will be required please. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
