Sue Ann Unverferth

Sue Ann Unverferth, 67, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio. She was born on August 1, 1956 in Port Clinton, the daughter of Joe and June (Diffany) Gall. She married Ronald Unverferth on December 17, 1983 at the Basilica & National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, Ohio, and he survives.

Sue graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1974. Following graduation, she got hired by Clarence Streeter which became Soderberg and Brenner, CPA where she worked as an accountant for 48 years until her retirement.

She was an avid dog lover, especially for her five Yorkies, “Scruffy”, “Buddy”, “Rusty”, “Mickey” and “Benji”. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating on the lake and could often be found tending to her beautiful flowers or mowing her lawn on her John Deere lawnmower. She decorated for the seasons, and her home always made you feel welcome. As her illness progressed, she was unable to plant flowers, but always willing to supervise her husband and mother as they were planting.

Survivors include her husband, Ron and her parents, Joe and June. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Wilda Diffany and Nancy Gall.

Visitation will be held at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 5-8 pm. Memorial contributions in memory of Sue may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
