Sue Ellen Andrews

Sue Ellen Andrews, 75, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on August 19, 1949, in Findlay, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ernest and Patricia (Tefft) Bevelhymer.

On February 14, 1998, she married Gerald "Jerry" Andrews, who survives. Sue Ellen dedicated more than 30 years to her career as an assistant librarian at Terra Community College in Fremont, Ohio, and continued her passion for books by volunteering at Ida Rupp Library in Port Clinton on weekends and after her retirement.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Fremont and also attended Family of Faith Church in Port Clinton. Sue Ellen had a deep love for gardening—both flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed hiking, and found joy in cooking during the holidays, particularly making salsa from her homegrown produce. She also loved baking and cherished the time she spent fly fishing with her husband.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; sons, Chad (Melissa) Wodrich of Fremont, Ohio, and Ryan (Julie) Wodrich of Medina, Ohio; grandchildren, Chase (Brittany) Huffman, Tyler Wodrich, Troy Wodrich, and Elita Pesina; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Ernest (Gloria) Bevelhymer and Mark Bevelhymer; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Sue Ellen's life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11 am with visitation one hour prior from 10-11 am at Family of Faith Church, 430 Jackson Street, Port Clinton, Ohio with Pastor Ted Austin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ida Rupp Library, 310 Madison Street, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452.
