Stuart L. Humphrey

Stuart L. Humphrey, 85, passed away on Kelleys Island, Ohio on December 26, 2020. He was born on June 11, 1935, to Charles and Donna Humphrey in Oak Harbor, Ohio. After graduating from Oak Harbor High School he served in the U.S. Army, National Guard, Tank Division, honorably discharged in 1962. Stuart married Phyllis (nee Liebeck) in 1958, and they had one daughter, Tama. He worked for United States Gypsum, Genoa, Ohio, retired in 1993, and moved to Kelleys Island as a full time resident. Stuart worked part time for the village of Kelleys Island, had a lawn mowing service, and enjoyed playing piano on occasion for the Methodist church on the island. He shared his love and time on the island with his grandchildren, Jessica (Kevin), Rachel (fiancee Brian ) and Jonathan (Hallie) . Stuart is preceded in death by his parents, brother Lowell (Joan). He is survived by his wife Phyllis, daughter, Tama (Mark), and grandchildren, sisters Marilyn Weitzel (Marietta, GA) and Marty Brown (Port Clinton, Ohio) Memorial contributions in memory of Stuart can be given to the KI EMS, Kelleys Island, Ohio, or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Danbury, Ohio. The Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
