Stewart C. Lofton, 73, of Oak Harbor, OH and formerly of Port Clinton, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 27, 2016. He was born May 31, 1943 in Miami, FL, the son of Max and Martha (Moon) Lofton. On May 31, 1991 he married Nora E. (Lawley) Lofton and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2016. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. Stewart was a member of the American Legion Post #113 and the V.F.W. Homer D. Gardner Post #2480, both of Port Clinton. Those left to cherish his memory are: Son: Stewart Charles (Kim) Lofton; Granddaughters: Alyssa DeLenn Robinson; Step-Children: Karen Marquez, Chris (Debbie) Lawley and Annette Carter; Step-Grandchildren: Jeremy (De) Carter, Andrew Lawley, Lorin (Contessa) Zippay, Jason Carter, Brooke Lawley; Step-Great-Grandchildren: Kennedy, Chezny, Leland, Coupe, Casen, Chayce and Cade; Brothers Sisters-in-Law: Edna Wamsley, Greetis Lawley, Edna Marie Doctor, Peggy Wamsley, Henry (Linda) Wamsley, Danny (Debbie) Wamsley, Gary (Terry) Wamsley and several nieces nephews. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers: Roger Lofton and Lloyd Lofton, sister: Ednalee Dishon, brother-in-laws: Ezra M. Wamsley Jr, John Wamsley, AJ Lawley and Charles Wamsley. Cremation has taken place under the direct care of Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Burial will be at the Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Rittman, OH 44270 at 2:00PM, Friday, December 30, 2016.
