Steven Williams, 54 of Alden, Michigan passed away July 28, 2015. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 9, 1961. Steve graduated from Start High School in 1979. He was a former maintenance worker for British Petroleum. His career prematurely ended in the late 80’s following a car accident. Although physically challenged from the accident, he became a steady and reliable support to his parents. His care and love greatly eased his late father’s final years as he struggled with Alzheimer’s. His heartfelt support provided his mother with invaluable help, when she needed it most. Steve was a simple man. He loved the outdoors and like his father was fascinated by rocks, especially those freshly unearthed and awaiting discovery from a winter thaw. He had many fond memories of exploring his beautiful property with his father and admiring the work of mother nature. He was a expert handy-man and took great interest in civil war and family history. Although physically difficult, he loved a great game of golf and was never short of opinions on world events. He is survived by his Mother, Elizabeth J. Williams; siblings Ann (Joe) and Jim (Peggy) and nieces and nephews Kate, Nick, Emily, Tom, Chad, Reed and Brecklen. He will be greatly missed by his longtime golf buddy, Todd Hawkins. He is preceded in death by his father Richard (Dick) J. Williams. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west o Corey Rd) where services will be held at 12:00 PM.
