Steven Strausbaugh

Steven T. Strausbaugh, the beloved son of Thomas and Ursula, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 6, 2014.  Steve was born on May 7, 1962 the oldest son of a family of 7.  He attended Meadowvale Grade School, Whitmer High School, and Ball State University where he received a full athletic scholarship for football.  He was a gifted athlete earning 1st string, all state honors in football.  After obtaining his bachelor degree, Steve was employed at various business entities in sales. His ability to sell was second to none and became the top salesman for most businesses that he worked for.  He was most recently employed by Fred Sandberg, his boss and friend, the owner of T.C. Packaging. Steve was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ford and Marie Joseph; his fraternal grandparents, Lowell and Helen Strausbaugh; father, Thomas Michael; younger brother, Timothy Michael; and brother-in-law, David.  He is survived by his children, Nicholas (Jessica), and Kristen Strausbaugh; his friend and ex-wife, Ronda Strausbaugh; grandchildren, Penny and Thomas Strausbaugh; mother, Ursula Strausbaugh; sisters, Carrie (Robert) Millen and Lori (James) Hall; brothers, Douglas (Angie), Gregory, and Mark (Sarah) Strausbaugh; aunts, Sue Newton and Diane Krohn; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Steve will be sorely missed by so many, may he rest in peace in Gods Loving arms. Visitation will be from 10:00am-2:00pm on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Walker Funeral Home. 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where services will also be on Friday at 1:30pm.  Burial will be private on Saturday.  Memorial contributions may be made to his children, Nicholas and Kristen.  Online condolences may be shared at walkerfuneralhoms.com.
