Steven Rockow

Steven Frank Rockow, age 65, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on January 9, 2026 after a brief illness. He was born on January 21, 1960, to Frank and Mary Rockow, both of whom preceded him in death.

Steve was married to Jill Rockow and a devoted father to Michelle, Amanda (Andrew), and TJ (Sherry). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Faith, Calvin, Theodore and Sophia.

Steve graduated from Maumee High School in 1978, where he proudly competed in football, baseball, and wrestling. He went on to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo.

Over the years, Steve worked with Associated Spring / Barnes Group, operated his own engineering consulting firm, and held positions with Calphalon Corporation, Claude Sintz and United Technologies. No matter the role, he brought intelligence, enthusiasm, and a steady optimism that earned the respect and friendship of many colleagues.

Above all else, Steve will be remembered for his positive outlook, sharp mind, and genuine enthusiasm for life. He had a gift for conversation, a deep pride in his family, and a presence that made others feel welcomed and valued. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Maison‑Dardenne‑Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537, with a Sharing of Memories beginning at 6:30 p.m.
