Steven Michael Marvin Manley, age 27, of Columbus and formerly of Sylvania, passed away on September 25, 2015 at Grant Hospital in Columbus. Steve was born February 23, 1988 in Levittown, Pa. to Michael and Judith (Dougher) Manley. A 2006 graduate of Sylvania Northview High School where he played football for four years, Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer and electrical engineering from The Ohio State University in 2011. After serving an internship with Nationwide Insurance in 2010, Steve remained with the company and was recently promoted to Specialist, IT Application Developer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania, enjoyed playing disc golf and he loved music, traveling extensively to attend music festivals. Steve was skilled with computers and devices and was always willing to lend a hand to fix one for a friend. He will be lovingly remembered for his out-going, fun-loving personality and always trying to bring a smile to someones face, which gained him many friends. Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Mike and Judy; grandmother, Virginia Dougher; girlfriend, Emmelie Cora; aunts, Mary (Charles) Siegel, Kathy (Richard) Barker and Marguerite (Vincent) Wishrad; uncles, Joseph (Janet) and Robert (Carol) Dougher, Patrick (Gayle) and Leo (Pat) Manley; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert Dougher, Edward and Marguerite Manley; aunts, Mary Ann Lovern and Ellen Marie Duffy; and uncles, Thomas Dougher, Edward and Timothy Manley. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-4 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.), Toledo, concluded with services to celebrate Steves life at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
