Steven Scott Bleckner

Steven Scott Bleckner, age 60, of Sylvania, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Concord Care in Toledo.  He was born on September 24, 1954 in Toledo to Charles Chuck and Gisela (Hertweck) Bleckner.  Scott graduated from Start High School in 1972 and The Ohio State University in 1976. At that time, Scott returned to Toledo to run the family business, Bleckner and Bleckner  Insurance Agency.  He then started Bleckner and Company which he operated for 20 years until he joined Polyfoam Stylecrest as their CFO so that he could spend more time with his family.  Following his passion, he later owned horse stables.  Scott was a mason and member of the Scottish Rite.  He shared his love for golf, travel and skiing and passed those interests to his children.  He used those interests to create everlasting memories with those he loved. Scott is survived by his children, Noah (Brittany) Bleckner and Ashley Bleckner; grandchild, Kaden Bleckner; brother, Charles Chris Bleckner and the mother of his children, Vicki Bleckner.  He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Gary Bleckner. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) from 2 pm until the time of the service at 7 pm Saturday evening.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, Radnor Station Building 2, Suite 320, 290 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, PA 19087.  Condolences may be shared with the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com.
