Steve H. Batesole

Steve H. Batesole, 82, of Martin, Ohio, died Monday evening, May 2, 2016, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born June 17, 1933, in Green Springs, Ohio, to William H. and Elsie (Hughes) Batesole. Steve married Blanche V. Sondergeld on March 7, 1959, in Elliston, Ohio, and she survives. He retired from Atlas Industries in Fremont, Ohio, where he was a machinist. Steve was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Elliston. Being very mechanically minded, Steve loved to work on cars; his other hobbies included fishing and gardening. In addition to his wife, Blanche, Steve is survived by his, son, William Batesole (Elizabeth DeMars) of Fremont and daughter, Faye (Lee) Markham of Monroe, MI, grandson, Andrew Wax, and brothers, William Batesole of Lynn, AL, Paul Batesole of Fremont and James Batesole of Clyde. His parents and step father, Leo Cozad, preceded him in death. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Trinity United Church of Christ, Elliston, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in Elliston Cemetery. Memorials for Steve may be given to Trinity UCC Window Fund, 17955 W. Third St., Graytown, OH 43432; Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist. #1, P.O. Box 154, Williston, OH; or the donors choice. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
