Stephen G. Szabo, 38, of Oak Harbor, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at his residence. He was born in Toledo to Fred and Frances Szabo. In 1991 he married Margaret Behnken. Stephen was a 1987 graduate of Port Clinton High School and was an avid sports fan and faithful follower of the Cleveland Browns and Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He worked as a warehouseman at Style Crest in Fremont and attended St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor.In addition to his wife, Margaret, he is survived by his parents, children, Vincent and Thomas Szabo, both at home, and his faithful friend, Boo. Stephen is also survived by this brothers, Luke Laura Szabo of Billings, Montana, Joe Szabo and Alex Szabo, both of Port Clinton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill Behnken, John Jeannie Behnken, and Ted Behnken all of Oak Harbor, Faye Terry Eishen of Lindsey, and Laura Dean Hammer of Oak Harbor; and his father-in-law, Clarence Behnken of Oak Harbor. His mother-in-law, Joan Behnken and grandfather, Mack Smieszny, preceded him in death.Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Thursday, August 2, 2007, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Oak Harbor, with the family present 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2007, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor, with interment to follow in Roose Cemetery. Memorial contributions for Stephen may be directed to Stein Hospice in Sandusky or the Education Fund for Stephens children.
