Stephen L. Muncey (aka Steve, Sweeper), age 64 of Port Clinton, entered into the presence of our Lord on January 1, 2025. Steve was a devoted follower of Christ. He was born October 30,1960 in Port Clinton. He grew up on Catawba Island and later lived in Genoa and Port Clinton. Steve’s introduction to the boating industry began at a young age when he worked at his dad’s family business, Sugar Rock Harbor and Marina on Catawba. Steve gained his expertise working in fiberglass boat repair and became self-employed at Muncey signs and Sweeper Northcoast Marine. He was full of life, very creative and multi-talented! He had a passion for music and loved playing Dixieland jazz on the piano, performing locally.
Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine: children, Raymond, Sarah (Joe) Bruscato, Jamie; numerous grandchildren; sister, Laurie (Billy) Mercadante; brother, Daryl (Tanya) Muncey; and sister, Adrienne (Mike) Sanders; nieces and nephews, Dana, Nick, Grace and Elia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Carolyn Muncey and niece, Mandee Kunkel.

Visitation will be held at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 11 am until a Memorial Service at 1:30 pm. Following the service, all are invited to attend a reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall, located at 109 E. Perry Street, Port Clinton. The family will re- join you after privately accompanying Steve to his final resting place.
