Stephen Grod

Stephen J. Grod, 66 of Rossford, Ohio passed away on August 4, 2023 at his home. He was born and raised in Rossford, Ohio on December 28, 1956 to George and Dolores (Taper) Grod. Stephen was a graduate in the 1974 class from Rossford High School.

Stephen was brought up in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. He was gifted at woodworking. He enjoyed going for walks, was meticulous about his lawn and loved listening to music. His greatest joy in life was his family. He loved being with his children and grandchildren.

Stephen is survived by his son, Andrew (Jennifer) Grod; daughters, Ashley Grod, Alexandra (Jonathan) Niese, and Stephanie (Geoffrey) Martin; grandchildren, Mary Grod, Charlotte, Aubrey and Gwen Niese, and Henry Martin; brother, David (Billie) Grod; sisters, Marilyn (William) Wagoner, Judith (David) Fedio, and Patricia Rosso; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, James Rosso.

Friends will be received at Sujkowski Walker Funeral Home, Rossford, Ohio on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM. Memorial donations in Stephen’s name may be made to St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 139 Walnut St, Rossford, Ohio 43460.
