Stephen Gfell

Stephen L. Gfell age 65 of Archbold, OH passed away on Thursday morning at Community Professional Hospice Care in Archbold. Stephen was born in Toledo, OH on September 15, 1947 to Lawrence and Marion Wright Gfell. He was employed by several trucking firms in the Toledo area and in the State of Arkansas. Steve was an Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on cars, model building and spending time with his family. Surviving is his wife, Ruth Ann Bovee Gfell; son, William James Jennifer York Gfell; step-children, June Steven Abrell, Ronald Bovee, Howard Bovee, Scott Bovee, Evelyn Bovee, Thomas Barbara Bovee; sister, Kathleen Ken Knabel and a brother, Barry Gfell. Also surviving are 20 step-grandchildren, 39 step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Gfell. Friends and family may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St., Maumee on Monday May 6, 2013 from 3-8 pm where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am.
