Stephen Duane Berry

Stephen “Steve” Berry, Toledo, OH passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2024. He was born on January 1, 1958, in Toledo to Duane and Janet (Toland) Berry.

Steve was a lover of all music. He was an avid player of the guitar, keyboards, harmonica and drums. He also wrote much of his own music and lyrics. He would often hand draw family and friend’s individual birthday and holiday cards with personal poems and messages special to them. He loved his family dearly, always ending a phone call or visit by saying “I Love You”. He was a kind, giving, and loving soul, who loved his family dearly. Steve was honored and proud to be his niece’s, Elycia Taylor Wards, godfather. He will be greatly missed by many.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Duane “Bode”; mother, Janet Berry; sister, Kathy Berry Taylor; brothers, Robbie “Rob” Berry and James Willis Taylor. He leaves behind his sister, Linda Berry; nieces, Elycia Taylor Ward (Brian) and Colleen Taylor Statkin (Brett).

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 11:00 am at Riverside Cemetery in Maumee, OH. Memorial contributions my be directed to the Toledo Humane Society.
