Stephany G. Skrbina

December 14, 1955 — December 18, 2025

Stephany G. Skrbina, 70, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her devoted daughters on December 18, 2025, just four days after celebrating her milestone birthday. Her final days reflected the way she lived, held closely by love, laughter, and family.

Stephany was married to her high school sweetheart, Paul Skrbina, for over 40 years. Together they built a life grounded in commitment, humor, and deep devotion to family. Paul preceded her in death in January 2024, and their love story remains one of Stephany's proudest chapters.

She was the cherished mother of three daughters: Adrienne (Anthony) Finley, Sarah (Paul) Wilkins, and Abby (Sean) Riley. Being a mother was central to who Stephany was, and she embraced that role not only with her own children but with countless others who came to see her as a second mom. Her home, and her heart, were always open.

Also left to honor her memory are her five beloved grandsons; Chase, Jack, Leo, Luke, and Finnegan, who brought her endless joy and pride, as well as her adored dog, Zoey, who was a constant and loyal companion.

Stephany earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Kent State University and later completed her Master of Public Administration at the University of Toledo. Her passion for social work carried throughout her career. Helping others was never just her profession, it was her calling.

Full of personality and unmistakable flair, Stephany loved everything shiny and sparkly. She had impeccable taste in music, loved to sing, and brought laughter wherever she went. She was proud of her dance experience with the Tamburitzans growing up and also enjoyed performing in theater, which were early expressions of the confidence and creativity that stayed with her throughout her life.

Stephany is also survived by her sisters, Daryle (Ronald decd.) Herman and Karen (Robert) Grimm; and brother, Steven Prezgay; as well as many nieces and nephews, with whom she shared close, loving relationships. Family mattered deeply to her, and those bonds remained strong across the years.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Dolores Prezgay.

Stephany will be remembered for her warmth, her sparkle, her voice raised in song, and her unwavering presence in the lives of those she loved. Her legacy lives on through her daughters, her grandsons, her family, and the many lives she touched simply by being herself.
