Stephanie Jean Jakubec

Stephanie (Stef) Jean Jakubec, age 92, of Rossford, Ohio passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 in Genoa, Ohio. She was born on July 1, 1928 in Rossford to John and Mary (Galgocy) Jakubec. Stephanie was a graduate of Rossford High School and worked as the secretary at the Rossford Ordinance Depot. She also worked for the IRS and the Selective Services. Stephanie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Toledo. She was proud of her Slovak heritage and enjoyed Polka dancing. Stephanie is survived by her brother, Richard (Carol) Jakubec, many nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Cecelia Jakubec, Josephine (John) Balog, Marie (Robert Sr.) Vascik, and nephew, Deacon Richard Vascik. Visitation will be held from 3-6 pm on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road, Rossford, Ohio. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Monday, March 29, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 628 Locust Street, Toledo, Ohio 43604. The funeral Mass can also be viewed by livestream via Stephanie’s obituary page at www.walkerfunralhomes.com. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
