Stella Galliher

Stella Louise Galliher, 84, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Edgewood Manor Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Port Clinton, OH. She was born on March 24, 1939, in Vanceburg, Kentucky to Laura Stone and Garland Zornes. On November 4, 1956, in Genoa, Ohio, she married Clyde Galliher and remained married 54 years until his death on December 8, 2010.

Stella enjoyed gardening, embroidery, going to church, and spending time with her beloved dog, Maddie. She loved to browse garage sales with her sisters. Cooking and baking were a way that Stella showed her love to others. She loved socializing with her former co-workers and friends. Stella always lent open ears to those that needed someone to confide in, though she wasn’t afraid to share her opinion. Most importantly she will be missed as a Mom, Grandma, Aunt and Friend.

Stella worked hard her whole life with her last job being at Aeroquip Co. (later known as Inoac Co.) in Fremont, Ohio until she retired.

She was a longtime member of Port Clinton Church of Christ.

Stella is survived by her son, David Galliher; daughters, Bonnie (Mark) Ziegler, Helen (Randy) Schimming, Pamela McGlothlin, and Mary (Mark) Lenke; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Mart Dugan; husband, Clyde; brother, Rocky Dugan; sisters, Lulla Caseman, Sally Hamilton, Christine Gilbert, Linda Lepiarz, Brenda Diefenbach, and Esther Dugan; great-grandson, Ryan Grosjean; and daughter-in-law, Charlotte (Timmons) Galliher.

Funeral services for Stella will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Mike Sweeney of Southern Care Hospice 11:00am, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water Street, Oak Harbor, Ohio. Visiting hours will be from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, Ohio.
