Stanley Surdasky

Stanley Edward Surdasky, 72, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, at Southern Care Hospice at Edgewood Manor. Born on November 20, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio, Stanley was the son of Edward and Martha Surdasky.

Stanley proudly served in the Air National Guard from 1972 to 1978. He had a fulfilling career, working for 28 years at TRW and Kelsey Hayes in Fremont. Stanley was proud of his progress in AA.

He found joy in the simplest of things, from shopping for anything to watching his favorite football games. He enjoyed cooking his meals as well. Stanley was a jokester at heart, always ready with a joke or a story to bring laughter to those around him.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents and his adoptive father, Paul. He is survived by his longtime friend and caregiver, Kevin Kolus.

Friends may be received from 10:00am-12:00pm on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 126 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452. A funeral prayer service will be held at 12:00pm in the funeral chapel. Interment will take place at Union Cemetery in Oak Harbor following services. Memorial donations in Stanley’s name may be made out to Southern Care Hospice.
