Stanley J. Rywalski

Stanley J. Rywalski, 91, of Toledo, OH passed away on July 5, 2009 at Heatherdowns Residential Center. He was born May 14, 1918 in Toledo to Leo and Anna Guga Rywalski. Stanley graduated from Navarre Elementary School and attended Waite High School. He worked aboard Lake Freighters and for L.O.F. in the plexiglass and thermopane divisions. Stanley also worked for the Auto-Lite Co. and the U.S. Postal Service for 17 years. A talented carpenter, Stanley built a home on Valleywood. He loved to grow flowers and always tended a garden. A member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Stanley was also a lifetime member of the 3rd and 4th degree Knights of Columbus. The widower of Mary Ann Kulamer Rywalski whom he married November 13, 1948, Stanley is survived by his brother, Peter Paul Virginia Rywalski; cousins, Eleanor Glinski, June Merritt and several nieces, grand nieces, grand nephews; great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Stanley preceded in death by his infant son, Joseph and brothers, Edward and Joseph and nephew, Paul Rywalski. Private family services will be held at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee, OH. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
