Stacy Jean Hughes

Stacy J. Hughes, 51, of Oak Harbor, Ohio and formerly of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, after a long illness. She was born in Fremont, Ohio on April 12, 1971, the daughter of John J. and Paula M. (Mackey) Hughes.

Stacy was a 1990 graduate of Port Clinton High School and was a member of the Tennis team, a sport she loved. She also had traveled to France during high school as a member of the French Club. Shortly after her graduation she was diagnosed with Dystonia, a muscular disorder, which eventually took away her mobility. Stacy always maintained a positive attitude and took each day as it came. She enjoyed watching movies of all kinds and was a pet lover, especially dogs.

Stacy is survived by her father, John Hughes, siblings, Teresa “Terri” (Bill) Niceswanger, James Dugan, Vicki (John) McCaffery, Jason Dugan, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Paula M. Dugan, and her grandparents.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 12, 2022, at Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor, Ohio. Her family suggests that memorials for Stacy be directed to the Riverview Healthcare Campus, 8180 W. St. Rt. 163, Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449, or the Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 E.
