Sondra Lee Drake

Sondra Lee Drake, age 79, passed away October 5, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The daughter of Russell and Joyce Mull, she was born February 27, 1939 in Camden, MI. She was a graduate of Camden Frontier High School. After graduation she attended Parkview School of nursing in Fort Wayne, IN where she received her Registered Nursing degree. Sondra then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged after two years. She meet James Drake at Pike Lake and they married on October 1, 1966 in Toledo, OH. She began her nursing career with Toledo Hospital and later worked for Lake Park as a nursing supervisor retiring after 27 years. She looked forward to her annual trip to Florida with her family. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cross stitch, swimming, the beach and watching golf. As a young girl, she loved spending time at Pike Lake in Hillsdale, MI. Spending time with her family was very special to her especially playing board games and cards. Sondra will be remembered for her easing going attitude, her acceptance of everyone and always seeing the good in others. She is survived her husband of 52 years, James; son, Eric Drake; granddaughter, Jadan; brother; Eddie Russell Mull and Amy Lane, whom Sondra considered a daughter, and her daughter, Madey Lane and numerous grandchihldren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation and services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the Walker Funeral Home 419-841-2422. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
