Shirley Mae Taylor

Shirley Mae Taylor, 71, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. Shirley was born on December 14, 1937 in Athens County, Ohio to Delmer and Dorothy Carsey Annon. On January 1, 1957, in Port Clinton, OH she married Dale Frederick Taylor, Sr. and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1991. Shirley worked as a daycare provider and had spent 25 years working for Ames Packaging. Shirley was a member of LaPointe United Methodist Church. Survivors include: son: Dale Karen Taylor, Jr. of Pennsylvania, Todd Kim Taylor of Port Clinton; daughter: Debbie James Porter of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Ashley Taylor, Brittany Taylor, Samantha Porter, all of Port Clinton, Justine Taylor and Jordan Taylor of Florida; sisters: Jean Dale Collins of Port Clinton, Patty Jo Emmett Rigdon of Florida; brother: Larry Barb Annon of Willard, OH; half-brothers: Tom Bean of Memphis, TN, Jim Bean of Sandusky, OH; half-sisters: Dottie Chavarria of Huron, OH, Betty Rule of Castalia, OH, Sandy Jobe of Sandusky, OH. Shirley was preceded in death by her: parents; husband; infant daughter: Diana Marie; step-mother: Eva Annon. Visitation for Shirley will be from 6-8 pm on Sunday, March 29, 2009 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Chuck Kaylor at 10:30 am, Monday, March 30, 2009 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in LaCarpe Cemetery, LaCarne, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Shirley may be directed to the Humane Society of Ottawa County or LaPointe United Methodist Church.
