Shirley Ann Spradlin

Shirley Ann Spradlin, 83, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Shirley was born June 9, 1932 to Arthur and Margaret Auger in Hancock, MI. She attended grade school at St. Anne’s and was a 1949 graduate of Scott High School. Shirley married Eugene Spradlin on January 9, 1949 and they were married 39 years before his death on March 24, 1988. She was the Office Manager at the Walker Ambulance Company for 42 years. Shirley enjoyed playing bingo and babysitting her great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of St. Anne’s Parish in Toledo. Shirley will be remembered as friendly and compassionate with always a kind word. Her family was her first priority. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Margie (Dale) Norts; granddaughter, Heather (David) Roberts; great-grandchildren, Malachi McLean. Zane Mclean, and Gavin Roberts; sister, Sandy Tipping; and nieces, Agnes Grisolono and Jeannie (Kevin) Ritter. In addition to her husband, Gene, Shirley was preceded in death her sister, Agnes Grisolono and brother, Junior Auger. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of both Lakes of Monclova and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their compassionate care of Shirley. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) from 4:00pm until the time of service at 7:30pm.
