Shirley A. Seeger, 78, of Fremont, died Friday, January 23, 2015, at Elmwood Living Facility, Fremont. She was born on April 7, 1936, in Oak Harbor to Harmon and Gladys Haynes. On April 22, 1956, in Oak Harbor she married Arnold Arnie Seeger and he survives. Shirley worked in the Ag Stabilization Office in Oak Harbor, the Medina County Extension Office, and JoAnn Fabrics. She was an avid seamstress and quilter. She loved to cook and was a state champion winner for her cherry pie. Shirley was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Fremont, the Fremont Garden Club, the Medina Honey Bee Quilters, and the Hayes Ohio Star Quilter Guild. In addition to her loving husband, Arnie, of 58 years, she is survived by her son, Mark (Mary Beth) Seeger of Columbus, Ohio, daughter, Luanne (Gary) Erdos of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, four grandsons, Tristan, Travis, Andrew and Peter, and sister, Denise (Craig) Holcomb of Florida. She is also survived by her aunt, Grayce Scholt of Flint, Michigan and dear family friend, Jane Bingham also of Flint. Visitation will be Friday, January 30, 2015, from 2-8 p.m., with family present from 2-4 6-8 p.m., at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015. Interment will take place in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorials for Shirley may be given to Faith Lutheran Church, Fremont, the Alzheimers Association, or Hospice of Fremont Memorial Hospital.
