Shirley A. Rumbaugh

Shirley A. Rumbaugh, 71, of Williston, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in the Luther Home of Mercy, her home of the last 10 years. Shirley was born in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Hugh M. and Virginia E. (Weyell) Rumbaugh. Over her lifetime she had resided in Akron, Columbus, Apple Creek and Tiffin, Ohio. As a resident of Cottage 11 at the Luther Home of Mercy, she enjoyed coloring, drawing, bead stringing, stringing food to place on the trees for the squirrels and relaxing in her favorite recliner. She had worked for Riverview Industries and most recently was involved with the Northwest Day Program in Northwood, Ohio. Shirley is survived by her siblings, Dr. Fiona Geiser-Wilf, Nancy Vaughn and Ken Rumbaugh, sister-in-law, Filous Rumbaugh, along with many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Rumbaugh. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in the Luther Home of Mercy Chapel, 5810 N. Main St., Williston, Ohio 43468. Interment will take place next to her parents in Winsted, CT at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Luther Home of Mercy.
