Shirley Pawlicki

Shirley Ann Pawlicki of Maumee, Ohio and formerly of Clayton, Michigan died on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Ohio Living Swan Creek. Shirley was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 28, 1937 to Louis and Constance (Szymanowski) Pawlicki who preceded her in death. Shirley graduated from Notre Dame Academy and the former Mary Manse College. She was a registered medical technologist who had worked at Ann Arbor Veterans Hospital and in 1993 retired from the toxicology laboratory at the former Medical College of Ohio.

Shirley enjoyed traveling in her motor home, downhill snow skiing until age 74, the outdoors and adventures of any kind. She enjoyed visiting her friends all over the country from California to Connecticut and all points in between. She had visited all 50 states as well as Italy, Switzerland, England, Okinawa, Canada, Panama, the British and American Virgin Islands, Mexico and the island of Aruba. She loved celebrating her birthday on the island of Aruba. She was formerly a member of the Toledo Ski Club, The Over the Hill Gang, International and enjoyed many “Out West” ski trips and other adventures with these groups.

There are no immediate survivors as her brother Kenneth also preceded her in death in 2005. She leaves many friends to remember all the fun times and the adventures…Carol, Pat, Caroline, Diane, Russ and Cinny, Ginny, Barbara, and all of the OF’s. Thanks to all the wonderful people who enriched her life for these many years.

There will be no visitation as cremation has already taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W. Broadway Street, Maumee, Ohio at 10:30 A.M. Shirley asked that memorials in her name be made to Notre Dame Academy Scholarship Fund, 3535 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, Ohio 43623.
