Shirley Ann Jensen

Shirley Ann Jensen, 87, of Delta, Ohio passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at home. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 20, 1929 to Milton and Emma (Meyers) Stevenson. She was a graduate of Scott High School. Shirley married her sweetheart, Edward T. Jensen on July 22, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio. Together they raised their family until his passing on February 19, 1986. Shirley worked for Food Town and Kroger as a Meat Clerk for 30 years. She retired in 1992. Shirley enjoyed playing bunco and bingo. She was an avid reader and loved to garden. She enjoyed spending her summers at the lake. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved being with her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was blessed with such a wonderful life! Shirley was a faithful member of St. Caspar Catholic Church in Wauseon. Her faith guided her through her life. She was a kind and gentle person, who never spoke ill of anyone. Shirley always encouraged others especially her family. She will be greatly missed. Shirley is survived by her children, Edward J. (Sheri Green) Jensen and Susan (Mike) Davis; grandchildren, Megan (Phil) Solle, Edward C. (Nikki) Jensen and Breanna (Nick) Davis-Tammarine; great grandchildren, Braedyn, Noah, Braxton, Kinley, Mara, Colt, Layla and Phineas; sister, Sandy Barnett; brother-in-law, Chuck Johnson; sister-in-law, Janet Jensen; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; son, Thomas Edward; siblings, Virginia, Betty, Mildred and Milton. Friends will be received at Neville-Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio (419-865-8879) on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM with a scripture services at 7:00 PM. Funeral service begin at the funeral home on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
