Shirley A. (Jeska) Cousino, 88, of Perrysburg, passed away, surrounded by family. She was born May 14, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, to Charles H. and Doris F. (Bostdorf) Jeska. Shirley married Glenn O. Cousino on November 10, 1961.
Shirley worked at Mutual Omaha, in the Claims Department before having children. Shirley loved to read. She always took her children to Way Public Library. Shirley volunteered at Toth Elementary School’s library when her daughter attended there. Later on she became a Book Buddy for Way Public Library, delivering books to homebound Perrysburg residents. Shirley also loved playing card games with family and friends, going to casinos and estate sales with her sisters and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her husband Glenn Cousino, son Steve Cousino and daughter, Stephanie (Ron) Lenz; grandchildren, Sarah Cousino, Zach Cousino, Emma Cousino, David Lenz and Laura Lenz. Siblings Lauretta Miller and Charles Jeska and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Dorothy Armbruster, Joan Smith and Joyce Dudley.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 1-5 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, OH (419-874-3133). Funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg, OH 43551. Condolences may be made online to the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
