Shirley P. Andrews

Shirley P. Andrews, 78, of Port Clinton, passed away, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 27, 1935 in Marion, OH, the daughter of Marion P. and Virginia Metz Grover. On January 28, 1956 in Fort Bend, IN, Shirley married Raymond G. Andrews and he preceded her in death on February 06, 2000. Shirley was an Avon Sales Rep. for 40 years. She worked at Silgan Plastics at the Erie Industrial Park, Port Clinton, retiring from there at the age of 75 in 2010. Shirley also worked for the former Matthews Boat Co. and the News Herald. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was a Cub Scout & Boy Scout leader. Shirley was a top performer for Avon for many years. She loved knitting, crocheting and sewing. Shirley was very active in her childrens and grandchildrens lives. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Son: Raymond Karen Andrews of Port Clinton; Daughter: Teresa Bradley of Perrysville; Mother: Virginia Schweinfurth of Marion; Grandchildren: Adam Samantha Andrews, Ryan Cheri Lawson Andrews & Kristy Ray Petrime; Great-Grandchildren: Anthony & Austin Andrews, Taylor Petrime; Step-Grandchildren: Jeremiah & Nicholas Bradley; Sisters: Phyllis Peters and Sue Chapman; Half-Brother: Steve Schweinfurth & John Grover and numerous loving Nieces & Nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her father and husband. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church, 900 Jefferson St., Port Clinton, OH 43452. Memorial contributions in memory of Shirley may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 or the American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr., Suite B, Perrysburg, OH 43551. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, has assisted the family with arrangements.
