Sherry Ann Harris

May 3, 1955 — February 11, 2022

Sherry Ann Harris, 66, of Warsaw, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2022. She was born on May 3, 1955, to Bernard W. and Rose Marie (Patricia) Harris.

Sherry was born and raised in Point Place, the youngest of 3 and the only little lady. She enjoyed fishing, boating, and was an avid hunter. Sherry was Mama to not only her children, Tracy, Ray, Brian, Rebecca & Luke and her stepchildren, Jason, Chris, & Jennifer, but she became Mom in the eyes of many others as well. She provided an unending, unconditional love to all who looked to her as Mom.

Sherry married her soul mate Bruce on December 29, 1994. She loved her “old man” with all her heart and soul, and together they shared years of love and laughter. In 2005 they moved to Warsaw to be in the place she loved, second only to Lake Erie. They were Nana and Papa to many grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren, and together shared their wisdom, and love of all things outdoors.

Sherry loved life. She traveled the world, including Train Traveling Europe, Cruising to Alaska, a family adventure in Hawaii, and exploring Australia and the Great Barrier Reef. If a song she loved came on, she would soon be snapping her fingers and bopping to the music. She always danced like no one was watching. Sherry was not the Nana to sit at home and knit, but the Nana who would be out with her grandkids: hunting, fishing, boating, or even the occasional trip down a waterslide. She told a great story, and even a trip to the grocery store became wildly entertaining, especially when told over a plate of her famous biscuits and gravy.

Sherry is survived by her daughters, Tracylynn M. Davis (Jeffrey) and Rebecca R. Molina (Angelo); sons, Raymond E Karnes and Brian A. Karnes (Rose); stepdaughter, Jennifer L. Yates (Steve); stepson, Jason A Karnes (Valerie); granddaughters, Randie M. Keller (Shawn), Cheyenne A. Davis and Ella Yates; grandsons, Andrew M. Frederick (Samantha Haymans), Andronicus Roberts, Ryan Averitt, Sean Averitt, Travis Karnes, Thomas Karnes, Tristan Karnes, Max Yates, Alex Yates, and Tyler Averitt; great grandchildren, Isabella Keller, Shawn Keller Jr, Colt Lee Show, Sherry Keller and Damien Dreps; brothers, Robert Harris and Dave Harris; Nieces, Kaylyn Harris, Danika Boudrie and Lyra Cochran; and nephews, Jeremy Harris, David Harris, Nick Harris, Sean Harris, and Vega Cochran. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard W Harris Sr.; mother, Rose Marie (Patricia) Harris; her husband, Bruce E. Harris; brothers, Randy S. Harris, Bernard W Harris Jr., Ronnie Harris, Mike Harris and Dale Harris Sr.; son, Luke H. Harris; stepson, Christian Karnes; and nephew, Dale Harris Jr.
