SHERMAN WOODRUM Sherman Woodrum, age 83, of Perrysburg, formerly Oregon, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at his daughters residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 6, 1928 in Edwight, WV. to Cleave and Virginia (Shrewberry) Woodrum, Sherman proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, during his time in the Army, Sherman befriended a pen pal who later became his wife, Betty. He was employed as a glass maker for L.O.F. before retiring in 1979. Sherman was a member of Hope Community Church in Oregon. He is survived by his children; Bonnie (Fred) Rist, Marie (Rex) Myers, and Thomas (Julie) Woodrum, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife; Betty and infant daughter; Shearon Woodrum. Friends will be received on Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121). Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00am. in Hope Community Church 5650 Starr Ave. Oregon, Ohio. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
