Sherman Neal Sills

Sherman N. Sills, 76, of Maumee, OH, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 15, 1934 in Hartford City, IN, to Uriah and Lena Keller Sills. Sherman received his bachelor of science degree from Purdue University in Chemical Engineering. He was employed at Sun Oil for 35 years, retiring in 1991. Sherman was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, recreational shooting, hiking and car racing. Sherman is survived by his loving wife Louise; daughters, Lorri Sills MD, Nancy Sills, and son, Eric Sandra Kosek Sills; grandchildren, Alec and Jessica; siblings, Fred Phyllis Sills, Joyce Larry Bye and David Phyllis Sills. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee from 5-8 pm. Interment will be private at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville, Ohio.
