Sherman Dale Boyher, peacefully passed away on June 21, 2023, in Maumee, Ohio, at the age of 89. He was born on August 19, 1933, in Jadwin, Missouri, to his parents Stirl Boyher and Sally Howell.
Sherman had a fulfilling career as an engineer and dedicated many years of service to Nokia, retiring in 1985. Sherman was a devoted husband who was fortunate to share 60 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life, Betty. Unfortunately, Betty preceded him in death. Sherman's dedication extended beyond his professional and personal life; he also proudly served his country. From September 1, 1953, to June 10, 1955, he honorably served in the U.S. Army.
Outside of work and military service, Sherman had a variety of interests and hobbies that brought him joy. He had a passion for golf, enjoying many rounds on the course. Fishing allowed him to unwind and appreciate the beauty of nature, while his travels with Betty allowed them to explore new destinations and create lifelong memories together.
Above all, Sherman cherished the time spent with his family. Whether they were watching golf matches together, enjoying meals at their favorite restaurants, or simply engaging in heartfelt conversations, Sherman's presence brought warmth and love to every gathering. His gentle soul and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of those around him, leaving a lasting impression that will be remembered by all.
He is survived by his son, Bob; daughters-in-law, Kimberly, Sue, Kim; grandchildren, Chris, Mike, Dan, Ty, Terry Jr., Kerri, Ryan, Brittney and Daria; as well as great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; and sons, Terry and Tim.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Lakes of Monclova for the special love and care that they gave to him.
