Shelly A. Sanderson, 55, of Genoa, died Friday early morning, January 24, 2014, at her residence. She was born March 11, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, to Leslie L. and Shirley A. Hoyman Dean. On January 31, 1976, in Genoa, she married Greg A. Sanderson and he survives. Shelly worked as a healthcare provider for Independent Choices. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Genoa. Shelly enjoyed scrap-booking, cooking, camping and traveling. She was also a collector of Coca-Cola products and memorabilia. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Greg, sons, David L. Sanderson of Lexington, KY, and Michael A. Sanderson of Fremont, her mother, Shirley of Elmore, and sisters, Sherry Jamie Akines of North Carolina, Kathy Douglass of Oregon, OH, and Lisa James Poelman of Alaska. Her father and brother, James Dean, preceded her in death. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2014, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Genoa.
