Shelley Kay Miner

Shelley (Tello) Miner, 71, passed away on September 21, 2026, at The Gardens of St. Francis Care Facility in Oregon, Ohio.

Shelley was born July 22, 1955, in Toledo, Ohio, and grew up in Genoa, Ohio, with her parents, Frank and Barbara Tello. After being widowed in 2018, she made her home in Walbridge, Ohio.

Shelley was a kind, thoughtful, and especially generous person who had a way of making the people around her feel loved and cared for. She was also remarkably resilient, having faced and overcome tremendous trials throughout her life, including the heartbreaking loss of her only son, Michael. Through life's challenges, Shelley continued to find ways to love, laugh, give, and care for the people around her. Her strength was quiet but unmistakable, and it was a defining part of who she was.

Her greatest joy was her family. She cherished her children and grandchildren and treasured the time she spent with them. She was always proud of her family and loved nothing more than seeing them happy and together. Shelley was also a devoted San Francisco 49ers football fan and enjoyed cheering on her team.

The greatest testament to Shelley's character was the amazing number of friends she made during her short time at St. Francis. She had a natural ability to connect with people, and her warmth, kindness, and genuine spirit touched the lives of those around her. Even in a short time, Shelley created meaningful friendships and left an impression that will not soon be forgotten.

She is survived by her children, Raquel Kreager, Michelle (Craig) Ish, and Nikki Kitchens; her grandchildren, Nathan Scannell, Colin Ish, Julia Lewis, Brenen Ish, Avery Kitchens, Kaiden Kreager, Everly Kitchens, and Brady Kreager; her mother, Barbara Tello; and her siblings, Frank Tello Jr., Ann Tello, Dirk Tello, and Shannon Rehberg, along with extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Shelley was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Miner; her father, Frank Tello Sr.; her sister, Lori Boileau; and her son, Michael Kreager.

Shelley's greatest legacy is the love she gave to her family and the friendships she formed throughout her life. She will be remembered for her resilience, kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness, and the genuine warmth she shared with others. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 10:00am - 12:00pm on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West Street, Genoa, Ohio 43430, with Shelley's funeral ceremony taking place at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
