Sheila Rae Schlievert, 63, of Curtice, Ohio, died in her home Saturday, February 19, 2011. She was born February 28, 1947, in Great Falls, Montana, to Kenneth R. and Dorothy A. McGivern Bailar. Sheila married James P. Schlievert in Toledo, Ohio, on November 30, 1968, and he survives. She worked as an LPN-MHP at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon for 27 years retiring in 2009. Sheila attended Cedar Creek Church. She enjoyed playing Bunco and was with the same club for 40 years. Sheila loved animals and loved caring for them. She had a special love for the theatre and for 22 years was involved with the Genoa Civic Theatre as a director and board member. Sheila had many friends and loved to remember them and her family with homemade birthday cards. She was a wonderful Gran/Grandma to her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Jim, Sheila is survived by her mother, Dorothy Bailar, sons, Jim Jill Schlievert and Dr. Randy Schlievert all of Toledo, grandchildren, Jori and Jaci, and her faithful companions, Teddy and Jesse. Her father, Kenneth Bailar, preceded her in death. A memorial service for Sheila will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at Cedar Creek Church, Perrysburg campus. The family has suggested memorials to the Ottawa County Humane Society, 2424 E. Sand Rd., Port Clinton, OH 43452. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Genoa assisted the family with arrangements. Good night, sleep tight, have no fear of the darkness. Im near you, Im with you.
