Sheila Edwards

Sheila Margaret Edwards, 67, of Maumee passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Youngstown, Ohio to her loving parents Charles and Margaret EndresTalley with siblings survived by Jim Talley, Pat Downey, Tom Talley, Kathy Milligan, Carol Friedman, Father Charles Talley and Peg Talley and preceded by sister, Mary Szelazek. Shelia moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1973 and worked as a secretary for Midland Mutual. Shortly after, Sheila was married to Fred Edwards. Shelia was a devoted and compassionate mother to her three children: Marc Edwards, Chris Erin Edwards and Alicia Curt Edwards-Barden. Shelia became Church Secretary at St. Joseph Maumee in 1987 and recently retired. She devoted her career to ministry and making all people feel warm and welcome in the church. She spent time with her beautiful grandchildren Ashley, Jack, Lacey, Addison, Sam and Dylan and loved to host holiday dinners at her home. When Sheila wasnt with grandchildren, she sang in Wings of a Dove, Rossford Show Choir and The Choraliers. Sheila was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, missionary, volunteer, singer, mentor and spirit. Visitation will be on Wednesday July 24, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday July 25, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, Ohio with prayers beginning at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Maumee, Ohio.
