Shawn Richard Gray

Shawn Richard Gray, 49, of Catawba Island, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio. He was born on September 26, 1970 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Donald and Laurie (Mills) Gray.  Previously, Shawn worked as a roofer for Danny Jackson Roofing out of Toledo, and most recently he was working at McDonalds as a grill cook. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed landscaping.  Survivors include his father and stepmother, Donald and Carol Gray of Plymouth, Ohio; mother and step-father, Laurie (Mills) Gray and David Rose, of Catawba Island; sister, Mystie Gray, of Fremont, Ohio; brother, Josh Gray, of Toledo, Ohio; nieces, Caitlin Foos-Gray, of Tiffin, Ohio and Echo Smith, of Fremont, Ohio; as well as his aunt and godmother, Becky (Garry) Chio, Oak Harbor, Ohio and aunt, Sherry (Glenn) Hill, Curtice, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe & Lavone Mills; his paternal grandparents, Louis & Margaret Gray; and aunts, Joanne (Walt) Crabtree, Colleen (Glen) Poulson, and Cindy (Kim) Willard.  Visitation will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, 205 W. Fourth Street, Port Clinton on Friday, November 22, 2019 from Noon until a Memorial Service at 1pm with Pastor Janet Reed officiating. Private burial will take place at Catawba Island Cemetery at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to his family.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com  The Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family with arrangements.
